What you can explore in the PrestaShop 9 demo

A PrestaShop demo helps you assess the shop system beyond a feature list. You can see how products, categories, pricing, and content work together in the storefront and how daily tasks are organized in the PrestaShop back office. The public landing page is indexable, while the test environment itself is access-protected and excluded from search-engine indexing.

This page is prepared for PrestaShop 9. The linked sandbox temporarily still runs the existing PrestaShop 8 demo and can later be switched to the new version without changing this public entry point.

Explore the PrestaShop storefront and product catalogue

In the frontend, you can review navigation, categories, product lists, product pages, images, pricing, and availability. Consider how quickly shoppers reach relevant products, whether variants are clear, and which information supports the purchase decision.

A demo shows the general interaction model. A production shop also needs a custom theme, reliable product data, legal content, tracking, payment and shipping configuration, and an information architecture tailored to the range and audience.

Review the cart and checkout journey

The journey from product page to cart and checkout is one of the most important shop processes. The test environment lets you review its structure and interaction logic. It is not intended for real payments or binding production orders.

For a client project, we also test taxes, customer groups, vouchers, shipping zones, payment methods, emails, and error cases. Only a defined test matrix demonstrates whether checkout works for the actual business model.

PrestaShop admin demo and back office

The protected backend provides an introduction to product, category, customer, and order management. This is particularly useful when a team is moving from another platform or wants to assess editorial and approval processes.

The demo contains no client-specific data and does not represent a complete production architecture. Roles, permissions, modules, integrations, and custom workflows are designed and tested separately in a real project.

Assessing PrestaShop 9 for a project

Before moving to PrestaShop 9, we assess the existing shop, supported PHP and database environment, theme, modules, overrides, integrations, and hosting. For a new shop, the focus is on product range, audiences, countries, languages, payments, shipping, and external systems.

The demo is a useful first impression, but it does not replace a version and project review. Waldbyte can compare requirements with the current system and prepare a reliable path for development, updates, or an online shop migration.

Demo, staging, and production shop

A demo is for exploration. A staging system is a project-specific environment used for data imports, themes, modules, checkout, integrations, SEO, and deployment testing. The production shop processes real customer, order, and payment data and therefore needs stricter security and operating processes.

Waldbyte separates these environments and defines backup, approval, and rollback procedures so changes can be assessed without putting live sales at unnecessary risk.
